Updated the page navigation controls at the bottom of the page to include buttons that jump to the very first or last page. Also, updated the icon that is used when stored as a web app to be more consistent with Apple's icon design.
Fixed an issue with the selector cards that caused contents to overflow. Corrected a similar layout issue with long song titles lacking spaces. Updated the tracklist parsing logic so albums without song durations can now be included, with the duration simply omitted. Lastly, changed the default placeholder image for records with no album covers.
Corrected a bug where the body of the page wouldn't take up the full screen and a tracklist parsing issue would crash the page.
This is the first release of vv corner! After many months, it is finally live. What started as a clunky Java project parsing through information stored on CSVs is now a fully realized website. The original purpose of that early build was to help me decide which record to buy when I had the chance. More than just spinning a wheel, I wanted to include price-based probability - the cheaper the record, the more likely it was to be selected. However, loading up my IDE every time and waiting for it to compile just to use my tool was getting annoying. For my own sanity, I knew the project eventually needed to outgrow its original form.
It was a challenge finding the best way to complete this project. Frameworks, languages, and databases were constantly changing as I further refined and understood the needs of the tool I wanted to create. However, I loved every step. Building something centered around my interests is hardly work to me; it may be challenging, but it never feels like a chore. Through continuous learning, I finally reached the point where I could build the website as it stands today. This is the third and final iteration, and the one I am proudest of.
