a little about vv corner
vv corner is a website dedicated to tracking my vinyl records - including the ones I currently own and those on my wishlist. If it's a vinyl record I like, it lives here.
There are a million and a half websites that do what mine does, and probably do it better. So why did I create this? Because I wanted to. Every website I found, in my opinion, gets lost in the weeds with the minutiae of record collecting. Quite frankly, I don't care that much. While there are specific things I want to keep note of, the level of granularity offered by other sites doesn't interest me. I created this website to track only the details I find important, in a way I find visually interesting.
The main landing page. This is where you see vv corner at a glance.
This is where vv corner first started. This page allows me to do a couple of things. First, it lets me choose a random record from my collection to play when I'm feeling indecisive. Secondly, it helps me pick a random record to buy from my wishlist. When buying from the wishlist, I can choose the number of records to buy or set a budget I'm willing to spend. Either way, this page was created to remedy my indecision.
This is where you can see all of my records organized into their respective "crates."
This is where you can view my records by their attributes. You can filter by specific artists, genres, record size, or even view the records I consider my personal favorites.
This is a link to my YouTube channel. Nothing personal is posted here; I created this channel to upload records I've found that weren't previously available online. I digitize these records and upload them here for preservation.
This is a link to my Internet Archive account. Like my YouTube channel, nothing personal is posted here either. This account is dedicated to hosting the digital files of the records I have digitized so that others can download them.
This icon means that this particular record is one of my favorite records. Some websites use stars and others use hearts, but I prefer the moon.
